Description:

This course is designed and taught by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at SC State University. The SBDC is a U.S. Small Business Administration resource partner that offers no charge one on one business consulting and training. The SBDC has partnered with the Department of Social Services to offer this course on starting a small business.

Small Business Smart Start is a 4-week course that is structured to provide a systematic approach to the creation, assessment, growth/development and operation of new and emerging small business enterprises. During the class, students will explore the various aspects of small business creation and management through readings and the development of a business plan focused on a new enterprise of their choice.

Classes will be held at 3 pm on Tuesdays on October 20 & 27, November 3 & 10. The webinar will be presented on Zoom and a link will be sent upon submission of registration.

The class will include handouts and course work which will be sent after registration. The outcome of this class includes a working business plan.
